Vegan MoFo III: My 100th

We're coming to the end and I officially have "the -itis."  Instead of posting pics and recipes, I'm dreaming about graduation!  After MoFo I'm starting NaNoWriMo.  I think I'm insane.  I'll be posting twice tomorrow to make up for this lack of post.  But this is food related because what is food with the perfect DREAM KITCHEN?!  I totally stole this idea from Joni at Just the Food.

First I want something spacious.  My kitchen now is a flippin joke.  I used to love having a yellow kitchen until I saw a turquoise one.  OH YEAH!

I also want it to be open.  I love entertaining and having people over so if it's connected to the living room...even better!

Look at this cute breakfast nook.  Perfect for eating brinner...and maybe actual breakfast at breakfast time too.

I also love retro signs and furniture.  I can't help it.  This is what I like in my kitchen.

I love the idea of glass cabinets ever since I read a magazine article about some New York woman turning her kitchen into a closet.  I much prefer my cabinets to hold dishes, though.

Also a kitchen isn't a dream unless it has a walk in pantry, yo.  Walk in!

And I just love the idea of a long island that will simultaneously give me space to prep and whatnot but will also hold all my cookbooks.

A metal wall so I'd have a huge magnetic spice rack, arranged alphabetically because there's no other way, really.

Ooh!  This kitchen needs a huge pot rack hanging over my island.  And some better pots because mine are horrible.

All I need now are some super colorful appliances and kitchen gadgets to go with this kitchen.  Oh, to dream.  If I won the lottery, I'd never leave my kitchen.  Hee hee.

oh wow - NaNoWriMo will be so much fun! i may dabble in it a bit, just making a commitment to write something every day. i haven't written in years and i'd love to get back to it!

our dream kitchen would be very similar. the metal wall for the magnetic spice rack (organized in the very same way, too!), something open, a little retro - i'm feel'n it, fo 'sho!

happy friday, Monique! while i'm having fun with veganmofo - i've got a bit of "the -itis" going on, too! :)

Duuuude. For a second I thought that turquoise kitchen *was* your kitchen, and I was 'bout ready to hop on over to jet blue and buy my plane ticket. Just to visit, of course, not to kill you and take over your life so that I could have your kitchen or anything like that, no no...

I did NaNoWriMo last year! It was totally nuts. I did finish my novel. Have I edited it yet? Mmmmno. I think about editing it pretty often though! That must count for something.

i currently have a horrible kitchen as well. there are about 4 squares of counter space and only 2 underneath cabinets and 2 tiny drawers. my kitchen makes me really cranky.

i love all the pics, except the one w/ the popcorn machine - it looks like the snack area of a local furniture chain :D

I love the walk-in pantry! Considering the fact that my kitchen doesn't have any kind of pantry at all, this is definitely a large component of my dream kitchen. The turquoise kitchen is pretty nice too!

but it's amazing what we get done in our horrible little kitchens, isn't it?

Congratulations! I love your kitchen! The walk in pantry & breakfast nook would both be dreams come true :) and I love turquoise. I would also want a robot. Or maybe one of those breakfast making machines like in Pee Wees big adventure.

I scanned too fast and totally hated you for having an awesome turquoise kitchen. I no longer hate you.

I'm doing NaNoWriMo too, probably--haven't signed up yet, but I know I will. I think I'll use it to try to write a new version of the novel I haven't touched in forever and see what I come up with. Great exercise, as was VeganMoFo. Good luck to you!

If your kitchen ever comes to be, I hope I can come visit you!

Congrats on 100!

And now you just need to combine an element from all of the those kitchen to create a super-kitchen. I too dream of a large kitchen with lots of appliances and pots and pans... sigh, one day!
